About Kao Lee
Kao Lee Aluminium Industrial Pte Ltd is a leading specialist in the design, engineering, fabrication and installation of high quality aluminium building façade systems.
Our humble beginnings can be traced back to 1988 when our founders, formed a partnership known as Kao Lee Aluminium Construction primarily to supply and install aluminium window grilles and sliding doors to HDB homeowners. Business grew steadily, amidst growing popularity of aluminium windows and façade systems over those of mild steel. To prepare for the next phase of growth, the partnership was converted to a private limited company in January 1992.
In 1995, our efforts to diversify our business beyond the public housing market bore fruit, when we were awarded our maiden private sector project, the Riverside Point. Not resting on our laurels, we continued to broaden our expertise and products range, to include curtain walls, louvers, canopies and skylight structures. Two years later, in March 1997, we were awarded our first multi-million project, the Eunos Techpark Phase 1 worth $5.75 million.
With proven track record in the private sector, we soon gained a foothold in the public sector. In July 1999, we secured the project for the construction of the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s Headquarters Complex worth $1.8 million.
The year 1999 also saw two major events of our illustrious journey: the relocation to our present premises to expand our capacity to meet our customers increasing demand of our products and services, and the attainment of ISO 9001 certification for our products.
To better reflect our field of specialisation, we changed our name to Kao Lee Aluminium Industrial Pte Ltd in August 2003. In January 2004, we were awarded the L6 Grade by the Building and Construction Authority for Curtain Walls, Windows and Doors, thus qualifying us to tender for public sector projects of unlimited values.
Our unwavering effort to constantly challenge ourselves with new markets, products and design capabilities culminated in our achieving record sales and profitability in 2004. Our enterprising spirit and resilience were recognised when we were conferred the prestigious Enterprise 50 Award for the second time in 2005.
Today, there are more than 200 buildings in Singapore bearing our hallmark of excellence. As much as we are proud of what we have achieved so far, we are committed to continually pushing the boundaries of excellence, providing our valued customers with aluminium building façade systems that reach the pinnacle of value, functionality, safety and aesthetics.
